Minimal house and funky electro from the German selector Franziska Berns at Distortion Ø!
Franziska Berns was only 15 when she started working at Frankfurt’s legendary Freebase Records Shop. This early encounter with electronic music led to her first DJ appearances at Sven Väth’s Cocoon Club, quickly followed by a residency at the iconic Robert Johnson and gigs at Panorama Bar.
Her ascension within the house scene is a result of a straightforward and stripped-down approach to mixing with a focus on the groove. You can get a peek at her talent as a selector in her multiple HÖR sets – a blend of minimal house and electro with the bounciest, deepest basslines.
