German pioneer Ata stands as one of the most essential and enduring figures within the electronic music scene. After he started DJing in the late eighties, he founded the record shop Delirium in Frankfurt, which quickly became the leading German store for electronic music in the mid-90s – and the house of his three labels Playhouse, Klang and Ongaku.
In 1999, he opened Robert Johson in Offenbach, which is still considered as one of the most iconic clubs in the global electronic landscape. Besides running the venue, Ata regularly goes behind the decks with a vibrant selection of house, italo-disco, new wave and electro.
