Born and raised in Berlin, Kobosil’s musical upbringing was forged in the sweaty premises of the city’s techno temple, Berghain. In no time, the hard techno innovator went from being mentored by nd_baumecker and Marcel Dettmann, to becoming a resident of the club and soon touring the world with his hard-hitting, cathartic sound.
Kobosil is also a seasoned producer, who has helped define a harder strand of techno, with releases on Berghain’s in-house label Ostgut Ton and his own 44 Label Group. Whether in his tracks or in his sets, he always brings an immensely raw and hammering energy, influenced by the deep and dusky atmosphere of noise, EBM and industrial.
