What You Handle

  • Temporary License:
    • For alcohol sales, you need a single-day permit from the police.
    • This requires partnering with a licensed restaurateur/manager to ensure approval.
    • Distortion helps with the form, but it is important that it is filled out correctly.
  • Orders: Place all beverage orders by April 11.
  • Power Supply: Arrange electricity through outlets, silent generators, or batteries if needed.

Why Bars Cost Money

Distortion manages public spaces on Nørrebro and by the harbor, incurring high costs for cleaning, sanitation, and logistics. Since bar operation is one of the few ways Distortion can make an income, it is therefore necessary to “sell” some of that bar operation to cover the costs. By giving Streethosts the opportunity to run bars, we ensure that local groups and cultural actors can earn money for their events. This model is a fair solution that both supports streethosts and makes it possible for Distortion to hold the festival.
