CLUBCLASH is the name of the night programme during the Distortion week: every night we host a heavy CLUBCLASH party in a spectacular location.
One important part of the CLUBCLASH is that there is always an "ANIMAL" floor, where we invite the coolest clubs/festivals/magazines/labels/web-radios in Europe to go ballistic their very own way. They must bring not only their own concept and music profile, but also their own favourite team of 20 party animals.
We call it a "contest" because "Club Clash" is a good name, and because competition is fun, but the CLUB CLASH ANIMALS series are only for fun: there are no rules... each club just comes with their clan of 20 favourite animals - and go bananas.
In 2008 for example: we decided that Wet Yourself won the "contest" because 15 of the 18 animals they brought from London missed their flight home.
This year again we have 8 fine representatives for animal clans of the finest kind throughout Europe - some of them are the same as last year - because they are still some of the wildest clubs in Europe (and also they are Distortion addicted). Watch out for Dulfedettes (thurdsay) and Renate (afterafterafterprty sunday night), probably the two best contendants to take the crown from last year's winners WET YOURSELF (friday night), who are back to defend their title.
